Jurgen Klopp, who is now Liverpool’s manager, will depart from the club when the current season concludes.
Also departing from the Budesliga team at summer’s end is Thomas Tuchel, who is currently manager of Bayern Munich.
Consequently, both clubs have been connected with Alonso this summer. He is a midfielder by trade and has experience with both Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
Owen, on the other hand, thinks that Alonso should accept the Bayern job offer instead of joining Liverpool since he thinks it would be a risky decision.
Xabi Alonso is facing a major conundrum. He has only been a manager for a short time, so I would recommend Bayern Munich as a safer bet. It is practically guaranteed that the squad will immediately return to winning the league. According to Owen, his stock will skyrocket if he takes the safe route to Bayern, which would be highly beneficial to his development (via GOAL).
Choosing Liverpool is a risky decision. It will be extremely challenging to follow Jurgen Klopp. It could not be easy to convert them because they now play in a style different from Xabi Alonso’s.
