The Adamawa State Police Command has detained a guy, 35-year-old Ishaya Markus, on suspicion of killing another man with a knife.

Ishaku has admitted to having an extramarital affair, and the dead man was her spouse.

The event took place in a community in Fufore LGA on the third of this month, according to information acquired by DAILY POST on Friday morning.

Libiyatu, the wife of the late Franchise Albert, was 20 years old when she allegedly began an affair with the suspect in 2022, according to sources. The couple had been experiencing marital problems ever since.

The accuser and Albert’s wife allegedly ignored his warnings and continued their affair anyhow.

According to Libiyatu’s testimony to the police, her husband had warned her and her when he found out about their activities.

After an argument broke out between us over the matter, I went to live with my parents.

Despite the warning, Ishaya pursued me into the jungle, where we had an affair. He had five sexual encounters with me.

After they worked out their differences, she stated her husband requested her to go back to their marital home, but Ishaya Markus persisted in getting her to go.

The day her husband passed away, she recounted, “Ishaya came to take me out again, but didn’t meet me at home.”

Along with confessing to killing Franchise in a scuffle, Ishaya told the police that he had an affair with Franchise’s wife.

Visiting the neighborhood where the dead man and his wife resided was his “dismal fate,” he remembered. Even though I returned with the intention of taking her out, I never saw her.

I met the dead on my way home, and he wanted to know if I saw his wife again. The debate escalated into a fight. A violent altercation ensued as we both brandished our knives.

Both my hand and my neck were slashed by him. Two stabs to the stomach and one to the neck ultimately proved fatal.

Adamawa State Police Command spokesman SP Suleiman Ngurore confirmed that Dankombo Morris, the state’s commissioner of police, had directed a thorough investigation in order to ensure the appropriate prosecution of the accused.
